Update from my studio on the painting I’ve done this year and how my (slow) practice is developing lately.
This summer my family and I went to Cornwall for two weeks. We stayed in a cottage from 1650 in the little village of Treknow, not far from the mystical Tintagel. We didn't have the best weather (which, I guess, wasn't entirely unexpected haha), but we all LOVED the gorgeous coastline and stunning nature.
Another sketchbook filled. Big fan of the paper quality of this Odd Orange sketchbook, and it really invited me to experiment with materials and layouts. All in all super happy with this sketchbook and the work in here.
I created a personal comic inspired by the everyday magic I see in small moments, like children handing me their little treasures as my entry to a call to entry for Pulp de Luxe Magazine. I’m proud of the result — typo and all — and hope the story speaks for itself.
