About

My name is AnnaDenise. A Dutch girl in Brussels. I like drawing, taking pictures, looking at art and culture in the broadest sense. Since 2004 this has been my weblog. Up until February of 2010 I used to blog in Dutch exclusively. Now I mostly blog in English. I still own a Dutch weblog, www.annaenik.nl, where I blog about the important themes in life (like our ever-expanding asses) with my good friend Valérie.



I am a big fan of art, illustration, journaling and pretty things in general. On this blog I will share my own work with you all, but I will also talk about artists I like or my life in Brussels (where I moved to in 2009). I live with my boyfriend Ash and cat Meneertje ('little mister' in Dutch) and eat at least two macarons a week. I hardly ever clean my house, but we like to keep the espresso-machine shiny and clean!

I have a BA in art history, and two MAs in Dutch art history and arts policy and management. I studied in Utrecht, Amsterdam, and at the University of California, Berkeley. I currently work full time at a cultural institute in Brussels where I focus on visual arts and illustration projects. In my spare time I take on freelance illustration projects and commissioned portraits, so don't hesitate to contact me with your request.
